Welcome to the first edition of Keetologue, the Velkommen issue!

After a year of disgruntled cut-and-dried writing for my college newspaper (which i am still doing), I decided I had had enough of having my articles butchered due to space restrictions or nonconformance with the newspaper's dominant views.  So Keetologue came about.  Armed with piles and piles of ideas, I have been toiling over my half-working laptop and my little black book to bring this out to you. Keetologue, in the briefest description possible, is a not-so-serious look into the randomness of society.

Let me break it down for y'all.

001  Features - interviews and articles featuring all the brows of society.

This issue includes interviews with Montreal's über talented Macklovitch brothers, known on their own as A-Trak and Dave OneJordan Galland from NYC's up-and-coming Dopo Yumé also took some time to answer some questions.

Keetologue 001 also features the colonization of the world by Ikea in The Hidden Multinational, and China's garment industry is dissected in A Nation Misunderstoodb.

002 Regulars include:

For the Love of Food - recipes created and tested by yours truly for all gastronomes out there.  This issue features Keetologue's Rico Suavé Roasted Eggplant.

Fashionned/Fashunned - explores the quirks and qualms of the fashion world in terms of stylishness instead of styledness.  Goes by the words of Todd Oldham:

"Real style is always in the more eccentric personalities, those who are doing what they're really excited about rather than following what's in style. When I think of "styled" as a description, I picture a person looking like something a magazine recommends for this month. It's more a mimicking of popular trends than it is an expression of individuality. When you see people who are so singular in their style, there's nothing more thrilling, because you know there's so much behind it."
In this issue we examine Rebecca Nixon's Girl Friday, as well as the return of 1992.

Also, a quick Q&A with yours truly.

Enjoy, and drop me a line with some comments!

much love,

Kitty (aka keet)
